Elk Grove voters approved Measure E, which increased consumer taxes by at least 23 million dollars annually. As part of the Measure, Mayor Bobbie Singh Allen and her four councilmen promised to form a citizen’s oversight committee.

If Mayor Bobbie Singh-Allen really wants some sound, transparent oversight, put Paul Lindsay or Lynn Wheat on the committee. Guaranteed, on their watch, no shenanigans would be allowed.
And I know both Paul and Lynn know their way around Elk Grove's budget, including the fact that the "raining day fund" is called "reserves!"
