People seeking book bans at the Elk Grove School Unified School District are now appearing at Elk Grove City Council meetings.
During the Wednesday, May 24, 2023, city council meeting, one parent sought the help of Elk Grove Mayor Bobbie Singh-Allen and her city councilmen to get certain books banned. The parent, who was identified as Kurt Johnson, deemed the books he displayed during his public comment as pornographic.
Singh-Allen and her four councilmen did not reply to Johnson. Watch the entire commentary in the video.
