10 Most Popular Elk Grove News Stories January - June 2023




Here is the list of Elk Grove News' 10 most popular stories during the first six months of 2023. 

Not surprisingly, stories about Elk Grove City Councilmember Sergio Robles' drunk driving arrest were among the most popular. Among the top 10, Robles' drunk driving stories occupied spots 10 through seven.

During 2022 Elk Grove's public works director accepted gifts of dinner and golf from three different sources. Jeff Werner accepted three gifts valued at $350. The gifts came from the following entities: 


1.  Parent returns to Elk Grove School board, displays images from book found in school library she said are objectionable; May 5

During the Tuesday, May 2 Elk Grove Unified School District Trustee meeting, a mother of district students displayed a book with what she characterized as objectionable images. The display was made during the public comment section on non-agenda items.
