The "crooked crony backroom politics" hasn't even started yet! The $300 million being spent on zoo construction is going to end up in some lucky contractors/subcontractors pockets. Of course, luck will have nothing to do with it--but don't expect to read about the selection process in the newspaper!
By the way, I once read that the awarding of contracts is the biggest form of corruption in local politics. Just sayin'
Might be time to file complaints with the Sacramento Council Grand Jury. If a witness, with clout, is needed to testify to the alleged, ongoing illegal actions of the Elk Grove City Council, the people can list California Attorney General Rob Bonta as a witness on the complaint!
