This town is going down hill quickly. Pretty soon we are going to be Stockton North or the new South Sacramento.
Crime is on the increase and the Council continues to waste money.

This place has been going ghetto for the past five to six years thanks to the voracious developers.

What do expect when you have all those people moving from Bay Area ghettos to this area?

They need someplace practice their knife and gun arts and decided to use the bar as a practice area.

Hopefully the foreclosure wave will sweep away the trash and clean up the region.

It is very unfortunate that this incident happened over the weekend. This was a fight between members of the same family and our internal security broke up the fight at the time without knowing that a stabbing had taken place. The injured parties went on their own to the hospital.
The other customers were alerted to the incident when EGPD showed up to interview. We check customers for the things we’re permitted to check for by law. We search back packs and have the most stringent age verification process made. There is little that anyone could have done since this group had been in place for several hours and until the fight, there was no indication of any pending problems. We maintain an internal security force of nine on weekend nights. We screen and age verify every customer that enters the facility. They are wrist banded and anyone not having a verification band is denied access to any alcoholic beverage. Strikes has done and will continue to do everything possible to keep the facility clean and safe for families.
We don’t know what additional measures could have possibly prevented something that was spontaneous among members of the same family. We did insure the safety of all other customers in the facility and will continue to make this our number one priority!

A tattoo parlor in Old Town would be fine.. once the use is added to the allowed uses within that planning area. What was at issue recently was not the parlor. Rather, the leadership making policy at the dais and circumventing process to push the use through without following protocol. You may have your tattoo parlor in old town... and, for that matter... any area zoned retail/commercial should be allowed one. But first, the rules have to be amended to make the use allowable.
