Sacramento Sheriff Activities League Collecting Donated Turkeys in Elk Grove

As part of the Sacramento County Sheriff Activities League (SAL) 6th annual Turkey Drive Benefit, deputy sheriff's will be in Elk Grove tomorrow to collect frozen turkeys.

In partnership with Walmart, the SAL and the Sheriff's Community Relations Unit will be at the Elk Grove Boulevard store between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. to collect frozen turkeys. The SAL will distribute families who participate in the SAL program and other identified households in the community with which SAL assists.  

Through their efforts last year, the SAL was able to distribute over 300 turkeys for Thanksgiving dinners.  Additionally, SAL will be at the Walmart at 8915 Gerber Road in Sacramento on Thursday, November 10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to collect donations.
