Bicyclist Killed in New Years Eve Collision in Stockton

Stockton, Calif. - Early on the evening of December 31, a bicyclist was killed in a vehicle accident in Stockton.

At approximately 6:42 p.m. Stockton Police responded to Eight Street and Turnpike Road in the Seaport District regarding a motorist and bicyclist collision. A motorist was driving north through the intersection on a green light when the bicyclist rode through the intersection and was struck by the vehicle.

The bicyclist was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. He was not identified pending notification of next of kin, but appears to be a Hispanic males in his 50’s. 

There were not reported arrests for the incident.
