Elk Grove Man Arrested After Alleged Shooting

An Elk Grove man is being held at the Sacramento County Jail after he allegedly shot a person following a fight.

According to Elk Grove Police, just after 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24 Kristopher Jordan Beams Pictured above), 26, was involved in the fight near Castro Verde Way and Ponta Do Sol Way when he drew a firearm and shot the other party. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

Beams left the scene after the shooting and was located at his residence by police officers who placed him under and recovered the alleged firearm. The suspect is being held on three felony charges with bail set at $75,000 and arraignment on Thursday, April 26.
