Robbery suspect brandishes box cutter, arrested by Elk Grove Police

An Elk Grove man in being held at the county jail after he allegedly brandished a box cutter during a robbery.

On Thursday, November 1 just after 9 a.m., Gregory Burnett (pictured above), 56, approached a person on the 8400 block of Elk Grove-Florin Road. Burnett brandished a box cutter, and reached into the victim's pocket and stole their wallet.

Responding Elk Grove Police officers located Burnett a short distance away and took him into custody. Burnett is being held on $50,000 bail for felony robbery and will be arraigned on Monday, November 5.
