Arson suspects arrested by Elk Grove Police



Two Elk Grove residents are in custody at the county jail after being arrested on arson charges.

On Sunday, June 16, Elk Grove Police officers and firefighters from the Cosumnes Community Services District responded to a field fire. Witnesses told law enforcement said they saw Caraline Rebbecca Gouldy, 19, and Parker Ashton Mattern, 20, near the fire, and folllowed them to a nearby residence on the 9800 block of Wyland Drive. 

After detaining Mattern and Gouldy, they were arrested on arson charges. Both remain in custody and their next court appearance will be on Tuesday, June 25.
