530 plants seized by Elk Grove Police after serving search warrant on illegal grow opertation



Two suspects were taken into custody after allegedly operating an illegal marijuana growing operation in Elk Grove.

Just after 7 a.m. on Thursday, January 30 detectives from the Elk Grove Police's Street Crime Unit served a search warrant on the 8600 block of Gossamer Way in the city's Camden Passage neighborhood. Over 530 marijuana plants were seized, it was discovered electricity was being stolen, and three children were found to be living in the residence.

The suspects, Eliasi Misel Mendozagomea and Paul Ariaseaton were booked into the county jail where they remain in custody ineligible for bail on several charges including felony child cruelty charges. Arraignment is on Monday, February 4.
