Bulk waste curbside pick-up suspended in Elk Grove

If you were thinking of using shelter in place time to clean out the garage, backyard or closets and have a bulk waste pick-up scheduled, those plans have been partially scuttled.

As part of the suspension of some services during the COVID19 pandemic, the City of Elk Grove announced the curbside pick-up of bulk waste will be discontinued as of Monday, March 30.

In their announcement, the city notified residents saying "These special services required the physical handling of material and posed a potential risk to our trash service workers. To slow the spread, we’re suspending this service until further notice. Spring cleaners can still drop materials at the special waste collection center or the Elder Creek (8642 Elder Creek Rd, Sacramento 95828) transfer station at no charge."
