As voting ends 60% of Elk Grove ballots have been submitted, two-thirds of Democratic voters

According to information compiled by Political Data Inc., as of Monday, November 2, 60-percent of ballots from Elk Grove voters have been received by Sacramento County Voter Registration and Elections.
Of the 106,531 ballots mailed to voters, 67,716 voters have submitted their ballots. Returns rates are highest for Democratic voters at 66-percent or 32,305.
Republican and independent voters citywide continue to lag Democratic participation rates. Among Republicans, 60-percent have returned ballots, 50-percent of independents have participated and 66-percent of Democratic ballots have been submitted.
The demographic of ballots submitted showed the highest participation rates for African-American voters with 65-percent. Not surprisingly, older voters have the highest return rates while the youngest group have the lowest.
