With maybe the exception of Stephanie Nguyen, who showed some compassion for young people, teachers just starting out, young professionals, retail workers, service workers and others, who must have affordable housing to both live and work and in Elk Grove, the others are all pomp and no circumstance.

The Mayor and her three male disciples are all ego, with no substance, and only care about their image and their exaggerated sense of self-importance. I am sure all they ask themselves with every move they make, “Is this good for me?” and let the people they serve be damned.

The city is only putting out half of the story. Yes, the city has grown in population over the last year, but to whose benefit? At what costs?

Growth for growth's sake does not benefit the existing residents. Until Mayor Singh-Allen and her cohort can show how growth reduces crime, eliminates traffic congestion, or lowers property taxes, not to mention lower Mello Roos fees for those who are burdened, this is, as suggested, an exercise in self-congratulations.
