Advocacy group Region Business forms 'Sacramentans for Hume for Supervisor 2022'

A new committee to help the candidacy of Elk Grove City Councilmember Pat Hume has filed a California Form 410 Statement of Organization with the Sacramento County Voter Registration and Elections.

The committee, called Sacramentan for Hume for Supervisor," filed their statement on Tuesday, August 2. The filing says they support Hume, who is running for Sacramento County Board of Supervisor District 5 against Cosumnes Community Services District Director Jaclyn Moreno.

Although the race is officially non-partisan, Hume is running as a Republican and Moreno as a Democrat.

By law, the committee cannot coordinate efforts with Hume's campaign. The committee comes as Hume's most recent financial disclosure show he has a cash balance of $9,501 and outstanding debt of $11,570 as of June 30.

Joshua Wood of Region Business is listed as the principal officer of the committee. No financial contributions to the committee have been reported as of today.
