Elk Grove is no different than society at large in terms of socio-economic classes. We have the upper class, middle class, and lower class. As much as our elected officials like to tout our city as being benevolent towards others, it’s apparent for any casual observer to see that this city is immersed in apathy and indifference pretty much towards everyone, but particularly those less fortunate. We like to talk about helping those with fewer means but when it comes to taking meaningful action, little is done other than token and symbolic proclamations, resolutions and declarations. And maybe a little money thrown in to appear as if we’re serious when we are not. More of the same rhetoric from the same people who like to see their faces on social media or local tv.

The sad fact is, most people in this town don’t care about their neighbors or their City. Some do. But the majority do not. Welcome to Elk Grove!
