Traffic advisory - Elk Grove High School homecoming parade this Friday, expect delays & closures

This Friday, September 30, the Elk Grove High School Thundering Herd hosts its annual Homecoming Parade. To facilitate the festivities, road closures and alternative routes will be in effect from 12:45 to 3 pm on several roads near the school.
Motorists can expect traffic delays and are encouraged to plan accordingly.
Street Closures:
- Valley Oak Drive at Elk Grove High School to Vista Grande Way
- Elk Grove-Florin Rd in both directions at Elk Grove High School to Elk Grove Blvd.
- Elk Grove Boulevard in both directions from Elk Grove Florin Road to Williamson Drive
- Melrose Avenue
- Southside Drive
An estimated 1,000 students and 500 spectators are expected to participate. For more information, call (916) 686-7741.
