Leary launches campaign website

We Like like Mike? Or just skulking around


Elk Grove city council member Mike Leary has launched his re-election campaign site,
Get to know Mike.

We find it a rather queer name as Leary has been on the Elk Grove City council for eight years and was a member of the former Elk Grove Community Services District for 10 years before that. Elk Grove citizens have had at least 18 years to get to know you and trust us when we say, we know what you are all about.

Where should we start?

With the Sacramento Grand Jury report, the bullying of city staff, the intimidation of the good citizens of Elk Grove who dare speak truth to power, the large liquor expenditures, the campaign payoffs from Reynolds & Brown or the campaign meeting dinners at Sprago in Las Vegas?

Among Leary's talking point on his site are that as a member of the city council he "has helped bring 10,000 jobs to Elk Grove." It would be helpful if Leary could cite the source for this claim.

To us, it seems like another exaggeration from just another political hack with flimsy ethics who will say or do anything to hold on to office. The next thing you know he will claim having invented the question mark right before he invented the Internet!
