Single car involved in fatal accident

ELK GROVE, CA – On September 30, 2008 at 2:49 a.m., the Elk Grove Police Department responded to a 911 call regarding a single vehicle traffic collision in the area of W. Stockton Boulevard and Faulkner Way.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that a red Mazda Miata traveling westbound on W. Stockton Boulevard had collided with a tree. The vehicle was occupied by two individuals when the collision took place.

As a result of the collision, the driver suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The passenger suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local area hospital for medical treatment. Identification of the driver will be made by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
