Leaving nothing to chance, several of the Elk Grove city council challengers made their closing pitch on the internet.
Steve Detrick is conducting his own 'get out the vote.' In an e-mail Detrick has implored his supporters to "Help Steve by calling voters, holding signs, and electioneering all over the city! Cally your friends, call your family!"
Meanwhile the other candidates took their campaign to Elk Grove Online. Katherine Maestas made a final pitching telling voters "The Elk Grove Citizen didn't post my press release, so I will include it below. I am honored to have earned the recent endorsement of our own Sarah Johnson. I have also been endorsed by the Sierra Club."
KT Tran posted the following:
It is the position of KT's campaign to wish all candidates the best of luck. Our campaign consists of our out-of-state co-campaign manager, Ken Hess. Ken lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Thanks Ken for a job well done. Also, thanks to KT's wife, Nancy Duong who is co-campaign manager and treasurer. Also thanks to Mr. Paul Tran, Tim Than, and KT's classmates in Juris Doctorate studies. Also thanks to the college students of Consumes College, Sac State, National University, and UOP for your help.
Good luck to all candidates and god speed to your victory!
Candidate Bob Felts also posted. Felts said:
It's always fun to watch the pundits grasp at fortune telling, predictions and nonsensical theory.
For my many supporters, and to help those who are yet undecided, I've posted an agenda summary on the HOME page of my web site. I invite everyone to take a final look at some things I want to work for as we change our city's direction for the future.
To everyone who's wished me well and supported me along this road, I thank you sincerely for your friendship, suggestions and kind words. Without you, nothing would have been possible. As we move toward the Tuesday countdown, I say again-- It's been a great ride no matter the outcome!
Check the site--worth a last minute look.
In response to our recent analysis, Felts noted that money is not an issue for his campaign.
Felts wrote:
Elk Grove News.net is incorrect that I suffered due to lack of money. Extra money, regardless of source, would not have helped, IMO, for I've managed to reach many friendly supporters with my message of redirection for our fine city. As to the comment on the EGN article, what can I say? In its projections and suppositions, it speaks for itself--it's pure hogwash and highly disappointing.
And yes Bob, "fortune telling, predictions and nonsensical theory" is fun! Take a look at Felts' survey results.
With less than 90 minutes to polls open, this video is dedicated to all the candidates.
See you at the polls!
