Poppy Ridge Road Closures Ahead

Beginning next week, the City of Elk Grove will be closing Poppy Ridge Road for roadway improvements that are part of the Laguna Ridge Specific Plan.

Poppy Ridge Road at Bruceville Road will be closed on the following dates:

* June 29, 2009 at 7:00 a.m. to July 2, 2009 at 5:00 p.m.
* July 6, 2009 at 7:00 a.m. to July 9, 2009 at 5:00 p.m.
* July 14, 2009 at 7:00 a.m. to July 17, 2009 at 5:00 p.m.
* July 20, 2009 at 7:00 a.m. to July 23, 2009 at 5:00 p.m.
* July 27, 2009 at 7:00 a.m. to July 30, 2009 at 5:00 p.m.

The road will be closed to pedestrians and motorists, excluding emergency vehicles.

Detours will be clearly marked. Message signs will alert motorists in advance of the road closure several days before construction begins. Residents in the vicinity have been notified with an informational flyer.
