Unlucky 13 - Cities To North, south Of Elk Grove Suffering From Extreme Unemployment

Of the nation's 13 urban areas experiencing unemployment rates above 15 percent, nine are in California. Of those, eight are in the Central Valley

While most of the neighboring California cities are agricultural-based, their location in the Central Valley will act as a drag on the entire area.

Until unemployment in these areas abate, real estate will continue to lag throughout the Valley, including Elk Grove.
