An Elk Grove man on parole was arrested for possession of an unregistered gun on Thursday night.
According to Elk Grove Police reports, 24-year old Steve Vang was arrested at his home on the 9700 block of White Pine Way for a parole violation warrant. During a search of Vang’s residence, police found a loaded unregistered handgun with a laser sight.
Another suspect, a 17-year old juvenile male was found to be on probations. Vang was transferred to the county jail and the youth to juvenile hall.
