Elk Grove Police Nab Two Car Thieves

Two car thieves were apprehended yesterday by Elk Grove Police in separate incidents.

In the first incident officer observed a reported stolen car being driven on the 9100 block of Elk Grove-Florin Road. Officers initiated an enforcement stop and confirmed the vehicle was stolen. The suspect, 30-year old Jose Sanabria was arrested and transferred to the county jail.


The second incident involved an 16-year old male juvenile from Elk Grove who stole a vehicle from a parent. Officer arrested the suspect on the 8100 block of Sheldon Road. The youth was transferred to juvenile hall.
