Elk Grove Police apprehended a Sacramento man yesterday morning after he was found to have outstanding arrest warrants and to be in possession of burglary tools.

According to police reports, officer responded to a suspicious persons call on the 49000 block of Willow Vale Way and contacted 21-year old Joe Vang of Sacramento . Vang had previously been contacted by an off-duty officer near a residence that had been burglarized.

Officers found Vang to be in possession of narcotics paraphernalia and burglary tools. A record check revealed that the suspect has outstanding arrest warrants.

Vang was arrested and transferred to the county jail.

Middle age man arrested for shoplifting

Police also report the arrest of a middle aged man for shoplifting at the sports Chalet store on Bond Road . According to police reports, 43-year old Kenneth Hall of Elk Grove had been detained by the stores loss prevention.

The suspect was issued a misdemeanor citation and released.
