Elk Grove City Council member Patrick Hume collected $14,912 in campaign cash contributions during the calendar year 2009 according to documents filed with the Elk Grove City Clerk office.

With the exception of $515 collected during the second half of ’09, the balance was collected during the first reporting period between January 1 and June 30, 2009. Hume also received $1,447 in non-cash contributions.

Hume’s largest contribution came from the city’s e-Tran bus provider contractor, MV Transportation who donated $5,000. Last spring MV's contract tih the city was renewed even though the city staff had recommended another contractor take over the city's contract bus services.

The balance Hume’s business donations came from interests in primarily real estate and construction. Two of the four individuals donation were from well-known real estate developers.

In the second half Hume’s sole donation came the Elk Grove Community Connection in the amount of $500. Hume ended the year with a cash balance of $19,425 and debt of $25,000.
