As of late Tuesday afternoon, the block that has been placed on IP addresses preventing access to the City of Elk Grove web site has been lifted. The iron curtain has kept EGN and others from gaining access to the city’s website.
According to a voicemail left for EGN by Mohammed Ahmed, IT analyst with the City of Elk Grove, the IP address assigned to EGN is "fairly new" and it was being blocked by the city’s hosting company.
Earlier today EGN e-mailed Nicole Guttridge offering the city an opportunity to fully explain why the city’s web site had been blocked for several users. As of posting time, no response has been received. We will update if further information is relayed.
