Elk Grove Police Catch Morning Burglar, Arrests other Robbers

Elk Grove Police arrested an Elk Grove man yesterday following a morning home burglary. 

According to police reports, officers responded to an in-progress burglary on the 8700 block of Redwood Grove way. As offices arrived, the suspect fled the area on foot.

Officers established a perimeter and were able to located 19-year old David Turner a short distance away. Turned was arrested and transferred to the county jail.

In other activity, a teenage girl was robbed on the 10000 block of Bruceville Road yesterday afternoon.

According to police reports, the 13-year old girl was approached from behind by 19-year old Brett Ingram of Elk Grove and a 15-year old Elk Grove juvenile male who forcibly took the victims IPod Touch from her hand.

Both suspects fled but were quickly apprehended and arrested by responding officers. Ingram was transferred to the county jail and the juvenile was transferred to juvenile hall.

Police also arrested 19-year old Duy Nguyen of Elk Grove after he was detained by loss prevention personnel on suspicion of shoplifting. According to reports the suspect became combative and fought with employees.
