EGN has learned that the The City of Elk Grove and the Elk Grove Police Department have just been notified that they have received notification their COPS application was accepted by the U.S. Department of Justice. Consequently, Elk Grove has been awarded $2 million in COPS grants to hire 6 more police officers.
