An Elk Grove domestic violence incident resulted in the arrest of a suspect following a short vehicle pursuit in Elk Grove early Wednesday morning.

According to police reports, officers were called by neighbors who witnessed a physical altercation in front of an undisclosed residence. The witnesses then reported seeing 29-year old Darnele Nelson of Elk Grove carrying the victim into the residence as well as damaging the victim’s car.

Responding officers found the victim to have sustained visible injuries. The suspect had fled the residence by this time and officers located him driving his car a short time later and initiated an enforcement stop.
