Robbery foiled at Elk Grove hotel

A late night robber was foiled last night as he attempted to rob a hotel located on Elk Grove's west side.

According to Elk Grove Police Department reports, an unidentified white adult male entered the Extended Stay America hotel on Longport Court brandishing a gun at an employee demanding money. As the employee was complying with the demands, another guest arrived and the suspect fled on foot without any money.

The suspect was wearing a dark hat and a dark blue jacket.
