GiveSmart Funds Elk Grove Food Bank Services Senior Brown Bag Program

Elk Grove Food Bank Services Executive Director Marie Jachino has announced the receipt of a donation from the GiveSmart fund of the Sacramento Region Community Foundation for the expansion of the Senior Brown Bag program.

The Senior Brown Bag program provides low-income seniors with a supplemental bag of groceries once a month. The Program is run by volunteers who gather and distribute food to senior clients.

“On behalf of the entire Elk Grove Food Bank family we want to thank the GiveSmart fund of the Sacramento Region Community Foundation for the $4,050 gift to our Senior Brown Bag program,” Jachino said. “The Elk Grove Food Bank Services thrives because of gifts like this. We cannot accomplish our goals without the support of donors like Sacramento Region Community Foundation.”
