As a follow-up the the recent fund raising bowling event for the Elk Grove Food Bank, sponsors of the highly successful event were recognized last night at a reception where a ceremonial check was also presented.
The event, which was organized by the Elk Grove Community Connection (EGCC), received support from several sponsors who were instrumental in raising fund and donations for the event. Among those recognized were Bill Niemi of Niemi Capital Partners and Ardie Zehedani of The RCH Group.
Elk Grove Mayor Steve Detrick thanked the tireless efforts of EGCC and the sponsors for their efforts that helped raise $10,000 for the food bank. "They put their money where there mouths were," he said.
Elk Grove Council Member Gary Davis noted the collaborative effort of the sponsors, EGCC and the food bank volunteers. "I would very humbly like to thank you all," Davis said.
After recognizing the sponsors and the presentation of the ceremonial check, Detick noted the real purpose of the entire fund raising event. "It's going to help a lot of people," he said.
