Security Guard Shoots at Armed Robbers in Elk Grove

To armed robbers were shot at by a bank security guard after they robbed the Chase bank branch in Elk Grove this morning.

Two suspects who robbed an Elk Grove bank this morning.

According to Elk Grove Police, two unknown suspects entered the bank located on the 8700 block of Elk Grove Blvd around 9:30 am today and ordered customers and employees down on the floor.

According to witnesses, one of the suspects jumped over the counter and took cash while the other encountered the security guard and a fight ensued. As the two suspects fled the bank, the security guard followed and shot his gun in the their direction.

It is not known if either suspect was hit. There are no reports of injuries to the customers or bank employees.

The suspects were last seen heading west on Elk Grove Blvd. and were beleived to be either in a white Honda or Toyota.
