Elk Grove Police Make Arrest, Discover Phoney Money

A routine arrest last night by Elk Grove Police led to the discovery of a suspect with counterfeit money.


According to Elk Grove Police, officers stopped 28-year-old Robbie Bernstine of Sacramento on Highway 99 and Mack Road for a vehicle code violation. A record's check revealed that Bernstine had a suspended license.

A tow inventory of the suspects vehicle led to the discovery of the three counterfeit fifty dollar bills in the vehicle glove box. Bernstine was arrested and transferred to the county jail.
