Three years ago this week, Mike Leary was voted off the Elk Grove City Council after two contentious terms. Although Leary left after being soundly defeated by Steve Detrick, his name lingered on in Elk Grove for sometime.

But with a recent decision by the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC), we may have heard the last of Leary and will be able to put that legacy away for good.

Nonetheless, with this the long and lurid legacy of Leary can be left behind.
