Thanks to vigilance of several witnesses, an Elk Grove man was arrested early last evening in a domestic violence incident following a traffic stop. According to Elk Grove Police reports, 29-year-old Brian foster was driving his victims vehicle when they began to argue. As the argument escalated into a physical attach, Foster allegedly punched his victim in the face and grabbed the victim around the neck.

When the victim tried to leave the vehicle, Foster prevented the victim from leaving. Several witnesses who saw the attack called police and reported the incident.

Responding officers located the described vehicle and initiated an enforcement stop. Foster reportedly refused to follow instructions of the officers and was advised if he did not cooperate, he would be tasered.

Foster refused to cooperate and was subsequently the taser was deployed. Foster was arrested and transferred to the county jail and the victim suffered a visible injury.
