An Elk Grove man was awoken from his sleep by an intruder into his house on Saturday morning.
According to Elk Grove Police, the victim was asleep when 40-year-old Theresa Moran of Elk Grove entered the house through a door that was closed by unlocked. Once inside the residence, Moran reportedly struck her victim while he was asleep.
The victim struggled with the suspect and once they were outside, the suspect threw a metal object at the victim that missed him and broke a window on his car. The victim suffered visible injuries.
Responding officers arrested Moran and she was transported to the county jail.
