According to police reports, officers responded to a call for a shoplifting incident that had taken place at the Burlington Coast Factory on E. Stockton Blvd. Responding officers observed two unknown suspects described as a black female and male driving away in a green Infiniti.
Another officer located the vehicle near Sheldon Road and Highway 99 and attempted to make a vehicle stop. The driver did not stop and led officers on a 3.1 mile pursuit that ended near Center Parkway and Mack Road when both occupants left the vehicle and fled on foot.
Although a perimeter was established, the suspects were not located. The stolen merchandise was recovered and the car was towed.

They shoplifted in the New South Sacramento, and took refuge in the Old South Sacramento. To quote Mister Rodgers, "it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood...."
Old South Sac ended at Meadowview...Mack & Center Parkway is new S Sac. We used to hunt where Cosumnes College is and frog gigged when it flooded.
Jennifer, you can keep your head buried in the sand as long as you want, but the trend in gang-related graffiti in EG, increases in property vandalism (words right out of the police chief's mouth to the press, vacant shopping centers in the core of the city...well, time will tell which one of us is right. I grew up in South Sac many years ago and can recognize the long, slow trend of urban blight and crime. It's headed our way.
Talk with Police Chief Lehner. I believe he will tell you that the majority of graffiti is not gang-related.
