How should Elk Grove develop this last parcel? |
As the last large unplanned and undeveloped parcel in Elk Grove, the city's planning department held two public outreach meetings to gather input on what sort of development should take place in the approximately two-square mile area. At those two meeting, participants suggested a wide variety of uses ranging from the sports complexes, mix-used housing to development of a college campus.
More information on SEPA is available here. The planning commission will take not action on the report.

The South East Area development in Elk Grove is disastrous.
There is no green belt between human development and the agricultural uses to the south.
There is no buffer for Mother Nature and the Pacific Flyway.
Yeah, sure, let's build Transit Oriented Developments with 20 units per acre along the arterial roads.
In the middle of nowhere?
