Elk Grove Police were able to apprehend an Elk Grove teenager who is suspected of robbing elderly ladies along Laguna Blvd.
The 15-year old male suspect was apprehended after he robbed another victim yesterday afternoon. As reported yesterday, this person is also suspected of attempted robbery of a 75 year old lady.
According to police reports, the 82-year-old victim was helping a relative into a parked vehicle on the 7700 block of Laguna Blvd.when she was approached from behind by the suspect. The suspect took the victim's purse by force then ran away.
A witness chased the suspect and was able to recover the victim's wallet. Responding officers were able to determine that the suspect had fled to a residence in the 6600 block of Springridge Way.
Officers located S-1 at the location where he was detained. Based on information obtained during the investigation, officers were able to locate victim's purse in a dumpster near the location of the theft.
Officers were also able to connect the suspects to two other thefts that had taken place on May 22, 2012. The suspect was taken into custody then transported to juvenile hall.

Glad to hear the police were able to get this troubled child. Also it is heartening to hear that a witness assisted the elderly lady.

Sadly, this "child" will not be scared straight. No respect for the elderly and showing predatory desire. He will only make new crime partners.
