With over 70 percent of precincts reporting, Republican Tony Amador has maintained his lead over fellow Republican Sophia Scherman for second place in the race for the Ninth Assembly District. Amador currently has 6,426 votes 19 percent to Scherman's 5,041 votes 15 percent.
