The Elk Grove Planning Commission will hear comments at their regular meeting tonight regarding a proposed hospital and medical complex on Elk Grove Blvd. and Wymark Drive.

The commission will specifically take comments on the proposed Dignity Health's Elk Grove medical plaza. Dignity, formerly know as Catholic Heath Care West, is proposing a medical complex that includes a six-story 3330 bed hospital, 65,000 sq. ft. medical office building, a five level parking structure and a helipad. The proposed project will be completed over several phases.

Tonight's meeting is a follow up the the draft subsequent environmental impact report that was released on Jan 13. The project will be agendized for formal review and possible action at a future planning commission meeting.

Tonight's meeting starts at 6:30 at City Hall.

With the helipad and eventual trauma center, right in the center of town, we will finally become a DESTINATION city! 24/7!

What am I missing here? Why the helipad. I though Kaiser South Sac was the regional trauma center?

Charlie,
How else will EG become a "destination city". We need the helipad to bring us the people!
