A 12-year-old Elk Grove boy was attacked by a group of marauding juveniles early Friday night for his shoes.

According to Elk Grove Police, the victim was walking along the 6400 block of Whitelock Parkway when he was approached by a group of teenage boys. One of the individuals pushed down the victim while a second suspect punched him in the face.

A third suspect ordered the victim to remove his shoes. The victim complied and gave the shoes to one of the suspects who then fled on foot. A witness was able to recover the victim's shoes.

The suspects were described as black male juveniles, about 14 to 16 years old, wearing dark jackets and jeans. The brand or type of shoes that the suspects attempted to steal was not reported.
