Elk Grove To Hold Kammerer Road Widening Workshop

The City of Elk Grove in conjunction with Sacramento County will hold a workshop to discuss the planned widening and extension of Kammerer Road Highway 99 and Interstate 5.


Over the next two years, the proposed alternatives will be further refined, a traffic analysis conducted, and detailed environmental analysis and documentation performed to identify potential impacts and mitigation measures.

The project objectives provide the foundation for the alternatives development.

• Provide critical link for residential areas and employment centers within corridor between State Route 99 and Interstate-5.
  
• Improve east-west circulation within Elk Grove and south Sacramento County compatible with proposed Capital Southeast Connector Project.
• Improve traffic operations and safety within the project area for existing and future development growth through design year 2038.

The workshop will be held between 6 and 8 p.m on Thursday, April 11 at the city council chambers at the Elk Grove City Hall.
