Elk Grove Teen Arrested on Suspicion of Possessing Stolen Assault Rifles, Shotgun

A 16-year old Elk Grove male was arrested yesterday afternoon on various weapons charges.

According to Elk Grove Police, the mother of the suspect found two assault rifles, one shotgun and ammunition in her son's closet. 

The mother contacted police who determined that the weapons had been taken from a vehicle on Wednesday. The juvenile is being held at juvenile hall and is charged with grand theft, receiving stolen property, possession of assault weapons and illegal possession of ammunition.
