Elk Grove Police Led on Short Vehicle Pursuit by Suspected Drunk Driver

An Elk Grove woman suspected of drunk driving led police on a short vehicle pursuit after she reportedly did not follow instructions upon contact. 

Just before 2 a.m on Sunday, October 2 Elk Grove Police officers were dispatched to Calvine and Waterman Roads after receiving reports of an unresponsive person sitting in the driver's seat of the vehicle stopped in the middle of the road. When officers arrived, they attempted to contact 33-year old Judy Meychoy Saechao.

Instead of following officers instructions, Saechao allegedly drove away and led officers on a 1.3-mile pursuit. Once she stopped the vehicle, Saechao was contacted and reportedly displayed objective signs of impairment.

Saechao was arrested for DUI, and evading arrest. She was booked into the county jail and has been released on bail.
