Elk Grove Man Tasered, Arrested on Multiple Charges Following Alleged Domestic Violence Incident

November 14, 2016 |

An Elk Grove man was taken into custody after being tasered following an alleged domestic violence incident.

On the afternoon of Sunday, November 13 officers were dispatched after receiving calls of domestic violence at an undisclosed location in Elk Grove. During the course of an argument, 37-year old Adam Lee Neal became involved in a physical altercation with his victim in the presence of two small children.

During the altercation, Neal allegedly bit his victim on the arm, picked up a music equalizer and threw it at the victim striking them in the head resulting in a visible injury. When the victim fled the residence, Neal locked the victim out of the home.

Officers responded to the residence after neighbors called Elk Grove Police. Arriving officers attempted to make contact with Neal who was inside the home with the children.

After making entry into the residence, officers located Neal in a bathroom and would not comply with numerous instructions to release the children. Officers were able to recover the child, who were unharmed, after the deployment of the taser.

Neal was arrested on numerous charges, is in custody at the Sacramento County Jail and is scheduled for arraignment on Monday, November 21.
