Fights Leads to Gun Fire in South Elk Grove

A nighttime fight in Elk Grove led to the firing of a handgun.

According to Elk Grove Police crime reports, several individuals were reportedly involved in a physical altercation just after 9 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25 on the 8900 block of East Valley Drive in the far southern portion of the city. This fight was reportedly in response to an earlier fight in the same vicinity.

During the fight one person discharged a handgun towards other individuals. There are no reported injuries and police report there is limited suspect information.
