An Elk Grove woman was arrested after she was allegedly caught on a video surveillance tape breaking into a self-storage facility.

According to Elk Grove Police, Amy Darlene Nelson, 34, was seen on a video surveillance camera at Waterman Self Storage breaking into a storage unit and stealing property. After identifying the suspect, police contacted Nelson at her residence.

Records revealed Nelson also had an outstanding warrant for her arrest and a subsequent search led to the discovery of a controlled substance and narcotic paraphernalia. Nelson is being held on bail of $11,000 and will be arraigned on Thursday, April 12.
